Unique Opportunities – An Associate Position within the Finance Practice
The Finance Practice at The Brattle Group provides expert testimony, litigation support, consulting services and other analyses founded in finance and economics. Our clients include law firms, financial institutions, thrifts, insurance companies, public exchanges, public companies in many industries, utilities and government agencies in the U.S. and abroad. Our approach combines accounting, financial, and economic analysis to issues concerning securities, regulation, valuation of business opportunities, profitability, pricing of services, tax issues, the cost of capital, accounting and disclosure policies, as well as financial implications of mergers and corporate restructuring.

The Finance Practice projects involve firm, security and asset valuation, derivative based products and the accounting herefore, accounting disclosure, analysis of financial risk, cost of capital and other finance related issues. The projects are challenging and are often high profile.

Associates are given the opportunity to acquire responsibility for framing research approaches, project management, supervising team/staff, and handling client contacts. As they gain valuable hands-on project experience, they also become more involved in sales and marketing efforts. The Brattle Group commits to each associate’s continuous training and development of the skills required to advance to the principal level and expanding the company's practices. Our goal is to train and develop as many associates into revenue generating principals as possible.

Ideal Associate Candidates Will Possess
• Advanced degree: Ph.D.. in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field with a strong foundation in quantitative analysis or a Master’s in Business Administration with several years of relevant work experience (preferably in a consulting environment)
• Demonstrated record of outstanding academic and/or practical accomplishment
• Strong interest in related industries
• Intellectual curiosity
• Strong analytic and quantitative skills, along with practical problem solving abilities
• Proficiency working with programs such as SAS, STATA and Excel
• An entrepreneurial drive
• Desire to work in a collaborative team environment
