Brattle Principal Dan Harris to Speak at the European Commission’s International Workshop on Demand Response in Europe
Dan Harris, a principal of The Brattle Group based in Rome, Italy, will participate at the European Commission’s International Workshop on Demand Response in Europe, taking place in Ispra, Italy on March 3-4, 2010. The two-day workshop will review the present status of demand response in Europe, as well as technical and regulatory barriers and the policies and incentives that are required to encourage effective commercial demand response.
Mr. Harris will discuss the experience of utilities in North America using dynamic prices for small commercial and residential customers made possible by smart meters, and the potential for cost savings from demand response in the EU.
