SmartMoney Cites Brattle Study on Transmission Investment
A Brattle study on transmission investment needs in the utility sector was cited in a SmartMoney article on February 22, 2010. The article, “Why Utility Stocks Might Surge,” discusses how the lagging utility sector may get a boost from the movement towards green energy, particularly from projects to build new transmission lines to transport wind power from remote parts of the country to high-population areas. The article cited a Brattle study that showed that the industry will likely spend upwards of $10 billion a year on transmission projects going forward.
